Guided by this philosophy, he has chosen to collaborate in Finland with renowned Chef Arto Rastas. Known for his adventurous nature and insatiable curiosity, Arto explores every ingredient, aroma, and culinary transformation with precision and imagination.
During this exceptional gastronomic masterclass, you’ll be introduced to the world of Lanson through the insights of its creator, Hervé Dantan. Each champagne will be artfully paired with exquisite small bites crafted by Arto Rastas, creating a harmonious dialogue between bubbles and flavor—a true meeting of cellar and kitchen.
Born into a family of Champagne winegrowers, Hervé Dantan has always been fascinated by the rich and diverse ecosystem of the vineyards. After studying viticulture in several French wine regions, including Bordeaux, Alsace, and Burgundy, Hervé crossed the Atlantic to apply his expertise in California. Following a long career in Champagne, he joined Maison Lanson, taking on the role of Cellar Master in 2013.
Arto Rastas, Lanson’s Chef Ambassador, is a chef and restaurateur whose signature can be found in more than twenty culinary destinations across Finland. In addition to some of the most exciting restaurant openings of recent years, Rastas runs a cooking school and a catering company. Over the course of his culinary career, he has also been a member of the Finnish national culinary team and won the Young Chefs World Champion title.
