Long time perspective is nothing new to Gosset, the oldest wine house in Champagne founded in Aÿ in 1584. The Gosset style is a great mineral freshness that preserves a deep vinosity. The charismatic and long-lived prestige cuvée Célébris represents the house style at its purest. Its rosé version is particularly soulful, which is beautifully counterbalanced by the latest addition to the Célébris range, the radiantly fruity Blanc de Blancs. Odilon de Varine’s vinous roots are deep as both his parents worked in the industry, his mother in Burgundy and father in Champagne. After a cellar master career in several famous houses, de Varine was hired as deputy managing director of Gosset in 2006. In 2016 he also became its head winemaker. In addition to family and wine, Odilon’s passions include rugby and vintage cars.
