Collard-Picard was founded in 1996 by Olivier Collard and Caroline Picard, uniting two long-established Champagne winegrowing families under one house. Today, the estate spans approximately 16 hectares across the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs and is recognised for its terroir-driven style and respectful, naturally inspired viticulture.

Cuvée Essentiel embodies Collard-Picard’s philosophy blending Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier. It draws from a range of parcels from both the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne, resulting in a precise and harmonious expression of Champagne’s complementary terroirs. In this master class, Alexandre Collard invites you to explore a vertical tasting of Essentiel, offering a rare opportunity to observe how seasonal variation and the passage of time shape the wine’s identity, while revealing the depth, consistency, and evolution that define Collard-Picard’s signature cuvée.

Alexandre Collard is part of the sixth generation of the family behind Champagne Collard-Picard. He joined the family business in 2024 after completing a Master’s degree in Wine Management from the OIV (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin), bringing new ideas and energy to the estate.
